International premiere Giovanni Pascoli has died, and a train carrying relatives, students, and dignitaries departs from Bologna to transport his coffin to his hometown, Castelvecchio di Barga. Through the memories of his sister Mariù, we retrace the poet’s life, starting with the murder of his father, and then discover his political commitment, his sometimes difficult relationship with Giosuè Carducci, and his life with his sisters Ida and Mariù. |
