Synopsis:
Irma, an 18-year-old boxing champion, rises from a difficult background in the Naples area. Her sporting success, however, is accompanied by increasing inner fragility. Pressure, sacrifices, and expectations begin to overwhelm her, despite the support of her elderly coach Lucio. The first Italian female boxer to qualify for the Olympics, Irma becomes a media symbol. But she returns without a medal and full of doubts. Away from the spotlight, she begins a journey of self-discovery to understand whether boxing is truly her path.

Young Audience Film Day – a Swiss event in collaboration with the European Film Club
We are proud to present a high-quality documentary selected from the European Film Club collection. This screening is part of the Swiss event Young Audience Film Day. Switzerland first joined YAFD in 2018, thanks to ZOOMZ, the youth film festival in Lucerne.
In the same year, the YAA Switzerland association was founded, bringing together:
Castellinaria – Festival del cinema giovane, Bellinzona
Jugendfilmtage, Zurich
CINEVNA (Grisons)
Zoomz, Lucerne
Cinéma Jeune Public, Lausanne
Every two years, two member festivals take turns organizing the event in their respective cities. This year, the event will be hosted by Schweizer Jugendfilmtage (Zurich), Castellinaria (Bellinzona), and the Cinevna Association.
The event is promoted through various media channels, newspapers, social media, Castellinaria’s newsletter, and youth film clubs such as Cinema dei Ragazzi (Lugano) and Cinemagia (Locarno).
