WHO'S ROMEO

Six guys from Gratosoglio, an area in the southern suburbs of Milan with a Muslim majority, partly Christians and partly Muslims, partly believers and partly not, face the reading of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, led by a young director. They try to understand if the tragedy of the two lovers from Verona still makes sense today, when the walls between cultures tend to rise and perhaps there’s need for a Romeo daring to climb over them. Their personal experiences are compared to the words of the Bard. Is Shakespeare our contemporary?
