Wendy Pillonel presents "Les orages magnétiques", a project developed during her residency at Casa Pantrovà. At Castellinaria, she will share her creative journey and meet professionals from the world of children's cinema. An intense and vibrant coming-of-age story that sensitively explores family dynamics and the theme of toxic masculinity through the eyes of a young teenager searching for herself.
Young Swiss-Turkish director Tokay presents his short film "Double or Nothing", which won many award at Fantoche. Inspired by 1980s Tokyo, the film uses stop-motion animation to tell the story of a greedy property developer's descent into the world of illegal gambling. In this conference, Tokay will talk about the genesis and direction of the stop motion project, its unique visual style and the behind-the-scenes work involving animation, lighting and materials.
