THE HUNT

After a difficult divorce, forty-year-old Lucas has a new companion, a teaching job at a nursery school and is rebuilding his relationship with his teenage son, Marcus. But suddenly his life changes course. It took very little: a fib told by a little girl in his charge. And, as Christmas nears, the lie goes viral. The little town turns against him and all Lucas can do is desperately struggle to defend himself.

Thomas Vinterberg

Born in Copenhagen in 1969, with Lars Von Trier he founded the Dogme 95 filmmaking movement. After a number of shorts he made his feature film debut with De Største helte (The Biggest Heroes, 1996). He gained fame with The celebration (1998), followed by It’s All About Love (2003), Dear Wendy (2005), A Man Comes Home (2007), Submarino (2010).
