1964. Louise and her 10-year-old daughter Cécile arrive in a village in the Cévennes where the woman had been on vacation as a child. Cécile struggles to find new friends but luckily the arrival of a circus attracts her attention. There he meets Poly, a pony who is mistreated by Brancalou, the circus’ owner. The little girl devises a ploy to make the animal escape, which has learned to trust her and has become her best friend. Everyone goes in search of them and obviously Brancalou is the angriest searcher. But Cécile knows where to find a safe harbor. |
