“Pollo” (“Chicken”) and “Curry” are two students not at all interested in school. Flunked, they decide to take a vacation in India. Curry, who is adopted, wants to seek his roots and Pollo follows without any reason. Or better: they both have a reason: they want to get away from Rome and their families, one suffoctaing and the other unsuitable. Arriving totally unprepared in such a different world, the two wind up by helping (initially unwillingly) an Italian lady doctor who works as a volunteer in a medical center in Kerala. Pollo will discover a difficult love but also the human sufferings about which he never cared, and Curry will be able to search for his heart’s desire. The experience will mark both of them deeply. |
