CastellinClasse

CastellinClasse – Streaming tax

For over a year, Castellinaria Youth Film Festival has been offering a new service dedicated to schools with the launch of the CastellinClasse streaming platform (https://online.castellinaria.ch/home).

Launched in November 2024, the platform – created with the aim of promoting audiovisual and film education in schools – has gained the approval of numerous teachers throughout the country in just a few months.
Thanks to a rich and diverse offering that includes Swiss and international films and short films, themed workshops and teaching materials, CastellinClasse is aimed at all school levels, from nursery to secondary school, promoting cinema as an educational tool capable of stimulating reflection, critical analysis and cross-curricular skills.

In its first year, access to streaming was offered free of charge to schools with the aim of allowing teachers to discover and experiment with this opportunity without budgetary constraints. In order to continue to guarantee a quality offering and cover costs, it was decided to introduce a contribution from schools, with a single annual fee of CHF 100 per school.

By paying this fee, all teachers at the school will be able to benefit from streaming, in accordance with the procedures already in place. The annual fee does not cover the presence of a mediator in the classroom for the introduction, discussion and in-depth analysis before and after viewing, or for the organisation of workshops.

All school administrators will receive a letter at the beginning of the year informing them of the new procedure and requesting payment of the fee.
We remain at your disposal for any further information.

We hope to continue growing together!
