In Greenland, Pipaluk wakes up to find that her older sister Ivalu has disappeared; her father claims she has run away. Anguished, the child sets out to find her sister, going to their usual hangouts; Pipaluk believes Ivalu manifests herself to her in the form of a raven. Gradually, a far more dramatic truth emerges: Pipaluk sadly mourns Ivalu, wearing her sister's Confirmation dress on the occasion of the visit of the Queen of Denmark. Oscar Nominee |
